FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY
Facial Reflexology is a delightful treatment that can improve skin tone, and help the face both feel and look smoother and younger with a healthy glow.
Stimulating reflex points on the face will improve circulation and muscle tone, as well as encouraging the release of toxins from the body. It is a deeply relaxing treatment that aims to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanism.
Facial Reflexology works on the same principles as foot Reflexology and the treatment is based on the theory that different areas on the face correspond to areas within the body. The aim of foot and facial Reflexology is to promote healing and help balance the whole body so that it can function at an optimal level.
Facial Reflexology is such an effective treatment due to the closeness of the face to the brain and cranial nerves, and this will also have an effect on all body systems.
HOT STONE REFLEXOLOGY
Hot Stone Reflexology really does take Reflexology to another level helping you to feel restored, rebalanced and rejuvenated.
This truly indulgent feeling treatment, using various massage techniques and warm stones, relaxes the body at its deepest level and is effective in creating harmony and balance.
The subtle energies of stones introduced into the treatment calm the senses, relax muscle tension and promote a meditative state.
Warm stones have been used as a therapeutic tool for massage for centuries with evidence dating back to ancient Egypt, China, Japan, South America and Australia.
AURICULAR (EAR) REFLEXOLOGY
Ear reflexology, also known as Auricular Reflexology, is a type of therapy designed to find pressure points in and around the ear that when triggered, can relieve tension and pain in different areas of the body.
This unique and non-invasive treatment is effective because the ear has over 10,000 nerve endings that connect to the central nervous system, as well as various body parts.
Although small, the ear is a primary gateway to many energy centres throughout the body. Auricular reflexology can help to relieve pain, speed up healing, correct various digestive and joint issues, and is a great addition to facial and foot reflexology.
Ear seeds are also applied to enhance healing.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage is a relaxing massage therapy that uses acupressure to focus on releasing tension from the head, face, neck, and shoulders and therefore reducing stress.
It is based on the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda, meaning ‘science of life and longevity’ and is India’s oldest healing system.
During a session, specialist massage techniques are used to relieve muscle tension and relax the connective tissues and incorporates Facial Reflexology to enhance the treatment.
Indian head massage is particularly effective as an antidote to stress as it relaxes and revitalises the mind and body, and can help with anxiety, tension and many stress related conditions. When the body reaches a state of relaxation, tense muscles start to unknot, blood pressure starts to lower, breathing becomes more regular and deeper, and the mind drifts into a state of passive awareness.
REIKI-REFLEX
Reiki is another powerful, holistic, complementary therapy. It is spiritual energy, which is the life force energy that flows through the human body. It is a safe practice which anyone can benefit from and can help bring comfort to people with a range of conditions.
Reiki enhances spiritual, emotional and physical well-being, alleviating pain whilst helping the body rid itself of poisons and toxins. It balances and harmonises the whole energy field, promoting a sense of wholeness, a state of positive wellness and an overall feeling of well-being.
When combined with Reflexology this is the ultimate healing combination!
Starting off with Reflexology to relieve stress and bring balance to the physical body. This state of relaxation allows energy pathways to open in the body. These allow deep emotional healing to occur via Reiki energy. The combination of these two wonderful therapies restores harmony to the mind, body & soul!
EFT TAPPING THERAPY
LMS Reflexology is now offering Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also known as Tapping Therapy.
EFT is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and involves tapping on acupuncture points with your fingers and uses the same meridians that have been used in acupuncture for over 5000 years.
Whilst you tap you bring to mind and verbalise, in a specific manner, physical symptoms or negative memories. This helps you to release emotional stresses or physical issues from your body's energy systems.
EFT often gets amazingly quick results. It works with both the conscious and subconscious mind. It can be used for many issues which come about as a result of an emotional imbalance.
Some examples include: depression, fears and phobias, stress, pain management, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, anger management.
